Let’s explore the unexplored! But where is the cute plus size activewear? Check out Sportive Plus, your online destination for plus size activewear, outdoor and travel apparel. Sportive Plus has their own in-house line in sizes 12W-26W (X-4X) and ships to the US and Canada. They also carry a selection of plus size brands like Columbia, Longitude, Terry and more. Based in Quebec, Canada, Sportive Plus also has stores in the Montreal and Quebec City areas. This fall, during our trip to Maine, I packed some of their clothing and wore it to explore Acadia National Park. Read on for my review of Sportive Plus, with tons of photos from our Maine adventures—rain or shine!

Sportive Plus aims to be a source of inspiration and an alternative for plus-size women who already have or aspire to do sports. Goodbye to the fear of judgment! Here, we do not sell clothes, but a cause. We want to give to all those who have forgotten the pleasure of doing sports like jumping in the snow, walking in the woods, skiing, running, horseback riding, skating…

Sportive Plus is inspired by trends, but mainly aims for quality in the choice of textiles and manufacturing processes in order to guarantee weather-resistant clothing while being comfortable and easy to maintain. - SportivePlus.com

Sportive Plus Clothing Review

Probably the most important piece of outerwear you’ll need is a windbreaker. I have a few raincoats and windbreakers, but nothing is as thin, lightweight, and low-bulk as this Sportive Plus Windbreaker in hot pink ($124.95). It’s also available in black, cockatoo (bright mint green), and sand (taupe). I’m wearing a size 2X and find it remarkable. I’ve worn it in a rainstorm on the beach, while hiking up a windy mountain, and on a whale-watching boat. The fabric really blocks the wind, and the hood stays up well, even without adjustable ties. The jacket got wet but dried quickly and kept my base layers warm and dry.

In the future, this will be the jacket I wear on all of our outdoor adventures, mainly because when rolled up it is less than half the size of my other jackets. Also keep in mind that if you have a good windbreaker, you can wear pretty much anything you like underneath!

When it comes to activewear, your next item on the list should be a good pair of leggings. Cotton leggings aren’t the best choice because they don’t offer the support, coverage, flexibility, or durability of a more traditional activewear fabric. With these Sportive Plus Ituha Leggings in Charcoal ($84.99), moving, climbing, and playing was a breeze. I’m wearing a size 2X, and they come in four other colors, too. They’re ultra-light, stylish, and comfortable. Plus, the fabric wicks away moisture and dries in a flash. I’ve worn them on long car rides as well as as pajamas, so these are the ultimate active leggings that can be worn as loungewear or as pajamas.

Explore Acadia National Park

Acadia National Park offers wooded walkways, rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, and panoramic views of Bar Harbor and beyond. We experienced glorious sunshine, torrential rain, fog, and mist. But no matter the temperature, people were swimming, hiking, and exploring. And I think after seeing the photos, you'll agree that this park is truly beautiful - rain or shine!
