I have a passion for all things pink, pastel and pretty. I live in the Detroit metro area with my husband Kyle and Georgie, our rescued bulldog. I believe in wearing what you love and finding ways to experience love every day. I share plus size fashion inspirations, style tips, trend reports and travel diaries, and all with a whimsical and fun twist!
Let's explore the unexplored! But where are the cute plus size sportswear? Discover Sportive Plus, your online destination for plus size sports, outdoor and travel apparel. Sportive Plus Apparel Review
Probably the most important outerwear you will need is a windbreaker. I've got a few raincoats and windbreakers, but nothing thinner, lighter, and less bulky than this Sportive Plus Windbreaker in Fuchsia Pink ($124.95). It also available in black, cockatoo (shiny mint green) and sand (taupe). I wear size 2X and find it remarkable. I've worn it through a rain storm on the beach, while hiking up a windy mountain, and on a whale watching boat. The fabric really blocks the wind and the hood stays in place even without adjustable ties. The jacket got wet but dried quickly and kept my base layers warm and dry.
In the future this will be the jacket I will wear on all of our outdoor adventures, mainly because when rolled up it is less than half the size of my other jackets. Also keep in mind that if you have a good windbreaker, you can wear just about anything you like underneath!
As for sportswear, your next item on the list should be a good pair of leggings. Cotton leggings aren't the best choice because they don't offer the support, coverage, flexibility, or longevity of more traditional sportswear fabric. With these Sportive Plus Ituha Leggings in Charcoal ($84.99) moving, climbing and playing was like child's play. I wear size 2X, and they also come in four other colors. They are ultra-light, elegant and comfortable. Plus, the fabric wicks away moisture and dries in a flash. I also wore them during long car rides but also in pajamas. They are therefore the ultimate active leggings that can be used as loungewear as well as pajamas.
Explore Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park offers wooded walkways, rocky cliffs, sandy beaches, and scenic views of Bar Harbor and beyond. We experienced glorious sunshine, torrential rain, fog and mist. But no matter the weather, people were swimming, walking and exploring. And I think after seeing the photos you'll agree that this park is truly stunning - rain or shine!
