Clothing buybacks
For 25 years, Sportive Plus has supported women as a leader in selling plus-size sportswear retail. Today, we are proud to announce a new project that strengthens our commitment: the buyback of used sportswear.
Sportive Plus wants to put these specialized garments back into circulation within our women’s community to facilitate access to quality sports items, to give them a second life, and add a little extra to our customers' budgets. Therefore, we have decided to launch the Sportive Plus thrift store in 2025 and to start collecting quality used clothing immediately.
In exchange for your clothes that you no longer use, we will offer you a gift card for Sportive Plus stores matching the value of the items provided. To celebrate this launch, we are offering to buy back your clothes at the same resale price (see list below).
We understand the reality of plus-size women: they often change sizes over the months and years and need to refresh their wardrobe and gear up again. We hope this initiative can help the women in our community.
How does it work?
- Bring your clean, good-condition clothes from brands we sell in sizes XL+ to one of our 3 stores, in closed boxes or bags.
- Your items will be identified under your name and assessed by our team within about a week.
- You will then receive an electronic gift card by email for the value of the items. This gift card has no expiration date and is valid only for purchasing new clothing at Sportive Plus stores and online.
- The gift values range from $5 to $50 per item. Please note that accessories, shoes, socks, and underwear are not accepted.
More details
- Each item is evaluated individually to verify that it is in resale condition. Clothes that do not meet our resale criteria will not be sold but will be donated to organizations or recycled. These items will not be compensated and will not be returned to you.
- You can also return clothing from other brands to us and will receive compensation for half of the resale value.
- If you cannot visit one of our stores, you may ship your clothes at your expense to the following address: 297 boul. Cité-des-Jeunes, St-Clet QC J0P 1S0
- We accept all brands that we sell in store and more.
