Clothing buyback
For 25 years, Sportive Plus has supported women as a leader in plus-size activewear.
In 2024, we took our commitment even further by introducing our pre-owned clothing buyback program.
Sportive Plus gives these specialized garments a second life by recirculating them within our community of women. This initiative helps improve access to quality items, extends the life of each piece, and offers a little extra support for our customers’ budgets. With this vision in mind, we proudly launched our thrift concept in 2025: La Fripe X-Elle by Sportive Plus.
In exchange for clothing you no longer use, we offer a gift card valid at Sportive Plus stores, based on the value of the items you bring in. We purchase your clothing at 50% of the minimum resale value (see list below).
We understand the reality of plus-size women and we hope this initiative will help support the women in our community.
How does it work?
We are changing the way we accept clothing donations to provide better service and reduce processing times.
Clothing can no longer be dropped off in-store at any time. Instead, items will only be accepted during our scheduled Pop-Up Fripe Collection Events, which will be announced in advance.

- When attending a collection event, please bring your plus-size clothing (16W, 1X, XXL and up), clean, in good condition, and packed in closed boxes or bags.
- YYour items will be identified under your name and evaluated by our team within a reasonable timeframe.
- You will then receive an electronic gift card by email corresponding to the value of the accepted items. This gift card is valid for 3 months, both in-store and online at Sportive Plus.
- Buyback values range from $2.50 to $25 per item. Please note that accessories, shoes, pajamas, socks, and underwear are not accepted.

Each item is evaluated individually to ensure it meets our resale quality standards. Items that do not meet our criteria will not be eligible for compensation and will not be returned to you.
However, please don’t worry—no items will be thrown away. We do our very best to give them a second life, whether through donations or other responsible initiatives.
